About Me
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!
I grew up on a ranch just outside of Rapid City, South Dakota. I have four siblings and many nieces and nephews. When I am not teaching, you can find me hiking, reading, painting, playing piano or ukulele, dreaming about traveling, or enjoying my family or friends. Ever since I was a little, I loved children. I had an innate desire to love every child I met, take care of them, and impact them. I wanted to make a difference in the world, and I knew, even then, that my love for children was intertwined with that desire to make a difference. In high school, I worked in an after-school program and babysat every chance I got. I loved school and enjoyed learning new ideas and sharing what I learned with others. I put these two loves together, and my passion for teaching was born. I graduated high school and began my time at the University of Mary. I graduated with degrees in both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. I have enjoyed all of the opportunities that this education has offered me, such as spending four months studying and traveling in Italy and around Europe, the experiences in school systems across Bismarck, and the wonderful years I have spent as a teacher at the Early Childhood Learning Center. After graduation, I took a position teaching Kindergarten at St. Joseph's Catholic School in West Saint Paul, MN. |
